KATHMANDU, May 29: The tourism sector, which has shrunk due to Covid-19 pandemic, is gradually improving. With the increase in foreign tourist arrivals, the foreign currency earnings from tourists has also increased significantly.

POKHARA, March 27: This time of the year is the main season for tourists from third countries. The occupancy ratio of hotels in Pokhara should be at least 80 percent. But as the hotel occupancy rate is only 20 percent, leaving tourism entrepreneurs here highly worried about the fate of their business.

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: With the declining number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal, the tourism sector is slowly returning back on track. According to the data published by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), more than 600,000 tourists visited Nepal in 2022 against 230,085 visitors in 2020.

POKHARA, Nov 21: The tourism sector which was badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic is returning back on track. As a proof of it, 88,582 tourists entered Nepal till November. In ten months of the year 2022, a total of 4,73,563 tourists have entered Nepal.

KATHMANDU, June 26: Former prime minister and chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the state of neglecting the tourism sector. He made such an allegation while speaking at the swearing-in and medal handover program organized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association on Friday.

According to the Lumbini Hotels Association, hotels in the region have announced various discounts on their accommodation and food services to attract domestic tourists.

BENI, September 24: Mobility of tourists and climbers at the Base Camp of Mt Dhaulagiri is gradually increasing after the government resumed issuing climbing permits that was halted over fears of COVID-19 since August.

The statements of all three organizations – Nepal Mountaineering Association, Everest Sumitters’ Association and Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents – is almost the same.
