KATHMANDU, Jan 5: In response to recent news circulating in various media platforms regarding the former owner of Tootle, Sixit Bhatta, being called in for questioning, Zapp Services has issued an official clarification to eliminate any misconceptions and provide accurate information to the public.

Ride-sharing platforms have become popular in a comparatively short time. They have not only brought about a significant change in the modality of urban  public transportation but have also offered an opportunity to the riders to make a decent income at their convenience. These platforms are, however, yet to be regulated and address safety concerns raised at times by the stakeholders.

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Due to extra workload, Tilak Dhital, 20, of Kathmandu’s Samakhusi occasionally works up to 7:30 pm at his Baneshwar-based office. Since finding public vehicles at such hours is rare, Dhital made use of the service of two-wheeler ridesharing companies such as Tootle and Pathao.

Vehicles registered under Article 8 (1) of Public Transportation Act 2049 are not allowed to use their vehicle for public transportation. DoTM has ordered the MTPO, Baggikhana, to take action against the vehicles offering such services.
