KATHMANDU, April 4: Tara Air is ferrying essential food supplies to Simikot, Humla at the request Nepal Food Corporation.

KATHMANDU, July 4: As many as 104 Indian pilgrims stranded on their way to Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage have been airlifted to Nepalgunj from Simikot—the headquarters of Humla district, which borders Tibet.

KATHMANDU, July 3: Around 800 domestic and Indian tourists are stuck at Simikot Airport in Humla district as poor visibility due to heavy rainfall obstructed affected chopper flights. Most of the stranded passengers are heading to Kailash-Mansarovar region of Tibet -- a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus.
