KANCHANPUR, July 2: A 100-bed Ayurvedic Hospital is to be constructed at Amarpur, Shuklaphanta Municipality-11 of the district. The hospital is being constructed in line with the government's decision two years back of building an Ayurvedic Hospital each in all seven provinces.

CHITWAN, April 4: The government has started translocating rhinos from the Chitwan National Park (CNP) to the Shuklaphanta National Park (SNP) in farwestern Nepal.

RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), Jan 16: As January, February and March are deemed suitable time for the transfer of the rhinos, the Chitwan National Park (CNP) is all set to translocate at least 10 rhinos to the Bardia National Park (BNP) and Shuklaphanta National Park within a month.

MAHENDRANAGAR, Dec 31: The government is all set to transfer one-horned rhinos, a rare and endangered species, to Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, Kanchanpur from Chitwan National Park.

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Nov 21: The counting of tigers in the Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve began from today. The Reserve Office and the National Trust for Nature Conservation are working jointly in the headcount of big cats in the reserve.

MAHENDRANAGAR, Sept 8: The government has allocated 10 elephants for Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve (SWR) but it has only seven elephants at present.
