BAJHANG, May 30: Sangita Rokaya of Dhuli in Saipal Rural Municipality-4 is the first Bajhangi girl to reach the peak of the highest mountain of the world Sagarmatha or Everest. The 26-year-old successfully climbed the mountain on May 17 with the help of Pioneer Adventure Company.
KATHMANDU, March 19: Renowned mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa will be leading the fixing team with an aim to break his own record for the most ascents (25times) of climbing Sagarmatha. The route from base camp to Camp II will be fixed by the icefall doctors deployed by Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC).
KATHMANDU, April 1: The number of people climbing Mt Sagarmatha from Nepal has been increasing this year as there will be no climbing from China in the spring this year. Instead, a source in the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has said that it has increased a little. KATHMANDU, August 16: Ghorahi Cement Industries Pvt Ltd, the producer of Sagarmatha Cement, organized a dealers' meet on Friday and Saturday at its own premises in Dang, Ghorahi. According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the company distributed awards and appreciation letters to the best and outstanding sellers. More than 400 sellers from across the nation participated in the dealers' meet. The statement further said that the company has been producing 2200 tons of Sagarmatha Cement every day, using new roller press machine manufactured with German technology.
