SURKHET, July 11: The only nomadic tribe in Nepal, Rautes, have been dragged into a deep crisis due to the nationwide lockdown which has been enforced since March 24 earlier this year in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
SURKHET, Dec 29: The Rautes living in the forest of Gurash rural municipality in Dailekh district have been provided with warm clothes and nutritious food after the Rautes' chief called for humanitarian assistance.

On Sunday, the country is set to conduct election in three provinces and Shahi wants to cast his vote to his preferred candidate. But the problem is, he cannot vote for anyone.
KATHMANDU , May 9: Kapil Shahi, a Raute youth who was undergoing treatment for burn injures at the Trauma Center in Kathmandu since April 20, was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.Shahi had been suffering from third-degree burn injuries since one year.
KATHMANDU, May 9: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has provided Rs 500,000 to assist in the treatment of Kapil Shahi (Raute) of Achham and to also conduct kulpooja (ancestral worship) of the Raute community.
