CHITWAN, Nov 7: In view of the upcoming Visit Nepal Year 2020, the government is all set to complete the construction of an “umbrella street” alongside Rapti River in Patihani of Chitwan within this December. The under-construction street offers a spectacular sunset view. According the local authorities, 70 percent of the project has been completed and the rest will be done before the Visit Nepal Year 2020 begins.

CHITWAN, June 19: Crocodile eggs collected from the local Rapti and Narayani rivers have hatched producing 151 hatchlings.

NEPALGUNJ, March 31: A woman in Nepalgunj fainted on Thursday evening after falling into a water-filled pit dug by a contractor near the Rapti River in Nepalgunj.

CHITWAN, March 12: At least seven gharials in the Rapti River of Chitwan National Park (CNP) area have been found dead in this current fiscal year. Some of them were found entangled in fishing nets, which could have potentially killed them.

CHITWAN, Dec 17: The world’s rare wildlife, one-horned rhino, has been brought back to its home on a boat.

KANCHANAPUR, Aug 26: Chhal Bahadur Budha of Raptisonari -2 planted paddy and corn in his fields last month. Almost every day he would visit the fields to see the growth of the plants. Seeing their growth, he would smile thinking that he would be harvest a good yield that would last for at least six months.
