Two girls drown in Rapti river

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Two girls died after drowning in Rapti River.

BANKE, Oct 6: The Rapti River has crossed the danger mark following incessant rainfall since Tuesday night. At Kusum, the water level in the swollen river has crossed the 6.32 meters mark. The river is considered reaching the danger mark when the water level reaches 5.40 meters.

NEPALGUNJ, Sept 17: The water level in Rapti river at Kusum, Banke, has crossed six meters due to incessant rainfall. It is considered dangerous when the water level in the river reaches above 5 meters and 40 centimeters.

NEPALGUNJ, June 9: The bodies of two persons who had gone missing in the Rapti River have been found. The bodies of 18-year-old Tribal Shahi and 18-year-old Lekraj Chhantyal of Simkot Rural Municipality-8, Humla, who had been living in Dhambohji- 1 of Nepalgunj were found this morning.

CHITWAN, Nov 7: In view of the upcoming Visit Nepal Year 2020, the government is all set to complete the construction of an “umbrella street” alongside Rapti River in Patihani of Chitwan within this December. The under-construction street offers a spectacular sunset view. According the local authorities, 70 percent of the project has been completed and the rest will be done before the Visit Nepal Year 2020 begins.

CHITWAN, Dec 17: The world’s rare wildlife, one-horned rhino, has been brought back to its home on a boat.

KANCHANAPUR, Aug 26: Chhal Bahadur Budha of Raptisonari -2 planted paddy and corn in his fields last month. Almost every day he would visit the fields to see the growth of the plants. Seeing their growth, he would smile thinking that he would be harvest a good yield that would last for at least six months.
