KATHMANDU, Dec 13: At a time when unemployment is rising in the country, the government is going to spend about Rs 6 billion to create job opportunities. Around 60,000 unemployed individuals will be provided employment in the construction and maintenance of community infrastructure.

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The government has launched its ambitious Prime Minister Employment Program, vowing to guarantee minimum employment of 100 days a year to all citizens. And for those who could not be provided the minimum employment, the government has promised a subsistence allowance. Based on the current minimum wage fixed by the government, this allowance will be around Rs 24,000 per year.
