KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Newly-appointed US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson on Friday presented his credentials to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has expressed dissatisfaction over President Bidhya Devi Bhandari's address to the Global Security Initiative (GSI) conference organized by the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) on Wednesday. According to MoFA, the President addressed the conference against Nepal's foreign policy of not being involved in any security umbrella.

KATHMANDU, August 2: The Bill to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act 2063 passed by both houses of the Federal Parliament has now reached the verification stage. The pressure to stop it has increased as it will take the form of an Act after being approved by the President. According to analysts, the provision of the constitution that the president can stop the bill means that the bill should be people-friendly.
