KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Nepal Communist Party Chairman KP Oli skipped an event organized by the party to mark the “People’s War Day”— the day when former Maoists had launched an armed insurgency against the government in 1996 — this year also.

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Though the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) commemorated the 23rd ‘Peoples War Day’, officially for the first time after the merger between the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), Prime Minister KP Oli who is one of the two chairmen of the party, skipped the event held at the party’s head office on Wednesday.
