MAKWANPUR, June 30: Rhino’s horns have been illegally smuggled from the protected 'core area' of Parsa National Park (PNP), which is off-limits to the general public.

MAKWANPUR, Feb 20: After an elderly woman was injured by a wild elephant, the agitated locals vandalized the Lamitar check post in Manahari Rural Municipality-3 within the Parsa National Park.

BIRGUNJ, Jan 27: A police squad from Parsa impounded a truck laden with illegally-imported goods worth amounting to Rs 16.3 million from Birgunj Metropolis-8. The police had taken control of the truck (Na 4 Kha 8334) en route to Butwal from Birgunj with the goods imported from India evading revenue.
