KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) managed to spend only around Rs 2.5 million out of Rs 10 million allocated to in the previous fiscal year under Prime Minister Employment Program (PMEP) – an ambitious program that aims to create jobs for unemployed people.

TANAHU, July 22: Many youths who got their names registered in the Prime Minister Employment Program (PMEP) showing an interest in an employment opportunity have refused to work saying that the types of jobs they are required to do under the PMEP are incompatible with their academic qualification, skill and experience.

KATHMANDU, May 30: The government has decided to implement the Prime Minister Employment Program (PMEP) more effectively and in a result-oriented manner in FY2019/20.

KATHMANDU: The process to register unemployed youths under the Prime Minister Employment Program (PMEP) is set to kick-start from Friday. Under the program, the government aims to provide minimum 100 days' work to unemployed youths of the country within one fiscal year.
