CHITWAN, April 11: Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan has stopped taking PCR tests but some people have been found using fake Covid-19 test report prepared using the letterpad and  digital signature of the hospital.

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The government will provide free RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 to all Nepali nationals going for foreign employment. The Ministry of Health and Population has made a ministerial decision to provide free RT-PCR testing to the migrant workers.

The government has said that media reports that claimed that Russia’s sovereign wealth fund was supplying 25 million doses of potential COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal is a rumor.

Nepal recently reported three cases, who are believed to be recovered from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), being tested positive for the virus again. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a 54-year-old man from Kathmandu, who was discharged from hospital on April 26, tested positive for the virus again. Similarly, a 44-year-old man from Parsa and a 19-year-old teenager from Rautahat were declared recovered and discharged on April 29 after three consecutive negative reports of PCR test. Both of them later tested positive for the virus during a follow-up investigation.

KATHMANDU, April 5: Ministry of Health and Population is all set to start rapid diagnostic test (RDT) in two districts of Sudur Paschim Province and Baglung of Gandaki Province in an attempt to intensify tests to novel coronavirus.
