KATHMANDU, Jan 5: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is planning to take the vote of confidence in parliament on January 10, has intensified negotiations with other parties to secure the required majority votes in the 275-member parliament.

With the formation of a new government, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has begun his third term as Nepal’s Prime Minister. Dahal really deserves congratulations especially when one thinks that he has been able to rise to the country’s top executive post despite being restricted to the leader of a distant third party with just 32 seats in the 275-member House of Representatives (HoR).

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as new Prime Minister. According to a press statement issued by the Office of President, Chairman Dahal was appointed as new Prime Minister as per the Article 76(2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
