BEIJING, Feb 2: Abhishek Dahal, a Nepali student in Tianjin, a city near to China’s capital Beijing, had no plan to return home to Nepal. But fearing that he might be trapped in China for an indefinite period due to suspension of flights by international airliners following the rising death toll from coronavirus, Dahal decided to return home early.
KATHMANDU, Jan 26: A day after the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed that a Nepali student returning from China had been diagnosed with the coronavirus, two more persons suspected to be infected with the same pathogen have been admitted at the Shukraraaj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH), a government official said.
This week saw yet another tragic case of a Nepali student drowning in Australia. Over the past few years, we have read and heard about what seems like more than sporadic instances of drowning deaths in other countries – of young lives lost either due to misadventure or a lack of grounding in water related activities.
