KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Although the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic is being minimized in different destination countries, the Nepali embassies there have not shown any proactive interest in verifying the demand letters which has created problems for those trying to go for foreign employment. Foreign employment has become a means of earning for the unemployed while the country is unable to create employment for its youth.
KATHMANDU, June 20: The Nepali Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has urged the foreign employment agencies in Nepal not to send any Nepali workers to Saudi Arabia until they were ensured of minimum facilities as determined by the Government of Nepal.
NEPALGUNJ, Dec 16: Bedh Nidhi Chapagain of Raptisonari Rural Municipality-1 of Banke district died in Saudi Arabia while working for the Jeddah Almarai company. He died of a heart attack on December 1 but the family is unable to carry out the last rites because the body is still stuck in a foreign country.
