NTUC demand minimum wage of workers be determined without delay

KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepal Trade Union Congress (NTUC), aligned to the Nepali Congress, has demanded that the minimum wages of workers be determined through the Minimum Wage Board as soon as possible. NTUC General Secretary Ajay Kumar Rai issued a statement on Friday reminding that The Labor Act, 2074 BS stipulates that the minimum wage of workers is determined every two years on the basis of tripartite agreement. He said that this provision has not yet been implemented and demanded the wages be determined through the Minimum Wage Board.
