KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the prices of petroleum products yet again. Issuing a press release on Friday,  the NOC stated that it had not raised fuel prices since August 23, which has led the corporation to face a loss of Rs 2.22 billion in 15 days if the prices are not hiked.

​Most gas stations in Kathmandu Valley are located in densely populated areas. A school building might stand right next to or just a few meters from a petrol station. We see shops and residential houses lying adjacent to petrol pumps.  This is not how it ought to be legally and practically but this is how it has been for many years.

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 25 per cylinder. The petroleum monopolist, however, has increased the price of petrol by Re 1, and diesel and kerosene by 50 paisa per liter, respectively. The new prices came into effect from Tuesday itself.
