KATHMANDU, August 19: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Investment Board Nepal (IBN) and the Indian company NHPC Limited to conduct a detailed project study survey permit of 750 MW West Seti and 450 MW Seti River 6 hydropower projects.

KATHMANDU, August 18: India will be entrusted with the construction of two large hydropower projects in Nepal. In the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, a study committee was formed under the coordination of Investment Board Nepal’s CEO Sushil Bhatta and according to the report of the same committee, the agreement will be signed this evening. The IBN is about to enter into an agreement with the approval of the Council of Ministers.

KATHMANDU, June 7: The government has decided to hand over the responsibility of building the 750 MW West Seti Hydropower Project and 308 MW SR6 Storage Hydroelectric Project to NHPC, a company under the Indian Government.
