Martyrs day being observed today

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Martyrs day is being observed across the country today paying tributes to those who sacrificed their life for the cause of the nation and people.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli visited Martyrs' Memorial Park, Lainchaur in the capital to pay homage to martyrs on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that it would be true tribute towards martyrs only if 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali' was materialised in social, economic and cultural manner based on social justice and equality by protecting achievements gained from people's struggle.

It’s Martyrs’ Day today.  Martyrs evoke sense of sacrifice and the duty of the state to uphold the conviction and faith for which they fought. Nepal marks Martyrs’ Day every year to commemorate all known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives for welfare of nation and people.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: At a programme organized at the Martyrs Memorial Park in Lainchaur today, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli asserted that no one needs to become martyrs in the fight for rights from now onward as the democratic regime has been already set up in the country.
