BHADGAUN, Jan 12: Eighty-four species of birds have been spotted along the bank of the Manohara river and adjoining areas. The bird count conducted by a team led by wildlife photographer and bird lover Sanjay Tha Shrestha concluded on Tuesday with this finding.

BHAKTAPUR, August 11: The flooding in the Manohara River on Tuesday night has damaged property worth Rs 7.5 million. Manohara river flows through the border of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts. The flood has destroyed landless squatters’ and other settlements on the banks of the river, infrastructures at Kadaghari Police Sector and Dibyashwori Land Integrated Project.

BHAKTAPUR, August 10: The swollen Manohara River has inundated settlements of landless squatters at Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1. Following heavy rain on Tuesday night, the river has deluged approximately 800 houses along the river banks, said Shree Bhakta Kasichhwa, member of the Province Sports Development Council, Bagmati Province and former chair of the Bhaktapur district sports development committee, who joined forces for a rescue.
