SINDHUPALCHOWK, April 28: The government has expedited preparations to bring back into operation the Tatopani border point between Nepal and China that remains closed for the last four years following the devastating earthquake of 2015 in May. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the border point is going to be reopened as soon as the dry port at Larcha, Tatopani, is handed over to the Nepal government.

CHAUTARA, August 3: Construction of a Bailey bridge has begun over Bhote Koshi River along the Araniko Highway in Larcha, in the district. A motorable bridge at the site collapsed on Sunday due to a landslide triggered by the incessant rain, blocking the only highway to Tatopani, the major transit point with China.

KATHMANDU, July 24: Home Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the blocked Araniko Highway will be reopened immediately by installing a Bailey bridge over the Bhotekoshi River at Larcha.
