RARA, March 28: A woman who had been facing problems giving birth since the past three days was airlifted from Khatyad rural municipality, in the western region of the district. Lalita Thapa,22, of Thamlekha in ward no. 8 of the rural municipality was airlifted by a Nepali Army helicopter to the regional hospital in Surkhet today.

KATHMANDU, Sept. 27: The governments of Nepal and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reached an agreement to revise the existing labor agreement so that both the nations would get maximum benefits.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called for amending the Foreign Employment Act criminalizing exploitation, forced labor and human trafficking.

KATHMANDU, April 2: The International Relations and Labor Committee under the Legislature-Parliament which had declared a role of immigration employees in illegally sending Nepali women to the Gulf countries a week back, has directed the Council of Ministers to completely ban the sending of Nepali workers to such countries until they came with a substantive law relating to domestic help and made a bilateral labour agreement with Nepal.
