KATHMANDU, March 6: Another seven kilometers track of the North-South (Koshi Corridor) highway listed in the National Pride Projects is yet to be laid. Although the government has given it high priority, the track digging work of the corridor is progressing at a very slow pace.

KATHMANDU, August 21: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has constructed 628 km of transmission lines in the last fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: The construction of the package-1 of the Koshi Corridor 220 kV transmission line has been completed.

KATHMANDU, August 17: The construction of the first section of Koshi Corridor 220 KV transmission line has concluded. The transmission line is expected to help evacuate around 2,000 MW of electricity produced by hydropower projects based on Arun River and Tamor River basins.

PANCHTHAR, Aug 10: About 55% work of the 148-kilometer-long road of Koshi Corridor has been completed. The road connects the eastern hills to the East-West Highway, with an aim to considerably shorten the distance to Kathmandu.

PANCHTHAR, Feb 9: Works on Koshi Corridor – the fast track project that would connect the country's eastern hills to tarai and the federal capital Kathmandu – is taking place in a rapid pace under the Koshi Corridor Road Development Project-2'
