Male rhino released into Koshitappu

RAJBIRAJ (Saptari), March 24: A male rhino brought from Chitwan National Park has been released into the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.

BELBARI (MORANG), March 5: Increasing pollution and haphazard use of pesticides in crops have contributed to the declining numbers of birds in the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KWR) and the vicinity. Human activities have caused loss of birds' habitats.

BELBARI, Dec 24: The fulvous whistling duck, which is also known as fulvous tree dock, has been lately observed in the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. The bird of this duck species, which was last seen in the year 2000, has returned back after 22 years.

SUNSARI, Dec 14: A man was killed in an elephant attack in Sunsari on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Pramod Yadav, a local resident of Shreepurjabdi area of Koshi Rural Municipality-7.
