TIKAPUR, August 27: The ward office of Tikapur Municipality-7 has issued a notice and appealed to local residents to remain alert as the embankment in Shahipur has collapsed. The ward office has warned the people stating that floods could come anytime.
SURKHET, August 1: As many as six passengers - three women and three children - have gone missing after a boat they were riding capsized in the Karnali River while sailing from Mohanyal Rural Municipality of Kailali to Chaukune Rural Municipality in Surkhet.
KARNALI, March 17: Body of seven-year-old Rajani Baduwal of Nimail in Aathbis Municipality-3 in Dailekh district, who allegedly jumped into the Karnali river along with her mother and three other family members, was recovered along the river banks near Asaraghat in Achham district.

While going to his school, Nepali has to cross the Karnali River risking his life. A local of Ranga village of Kailali, Bhul cannot attend classes even other times if the weather is not fine. Bad weather means risks added to an already perilous journey to the school.
TIKAPUR, July 29: Dozens of stray cattle, most of them too old to walk, look exhausted and directionless as they crowd the main road of Tikapur these days. They sit on the street in broad daylight and stay around long hours posing a safety threat to drivers, riders and passerby. Hungry, thirsty, and homeless these animals reflect how owners disown cattle after they find them worthless.
HUMLA/SURKHET, June 18: Ten persons have gone missing after a passenger jeep they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into the Karnali River in Humla district on Tuesday afternoon. Deputy chief of Kharpunath Rural Municipality in Humla district, Sindhu Hamal, is among those missing.

They have called for taking action against the Highgriva-Siddhi Shahi Prakash JV Samakhusi Kathmandu for not constructing the structure.
