MYAGDI, Jan 13: Mana Kumari Subedi is already 78. However, this local of Bagarfaat village of Jaljala Rural Municipality – 3 in Parbat district has no option but to fetch water from the Kali Gandaki River which flows nearby her home. If she does not do this, she won't have water at home to drink and for other use because there is no other active member at home.

PARBAT, June 23: Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parbat has made a decision to ban the extraction of construction materials from rivers until the end of monsoon.

PARBAT, Nov 10: The International Parbat Service Society has agreed to financially assist the local government at Jaljala rural municipality in Parbat to construct shelter for those rendered homeless by last July flood and landslide.
