XIANNING, China, March 25: Life started to return to normal on Wednesday after two months of lockdown in Hubei province, epicentre of China’s coronavirus outbreak, with traffic controls lifted, construction work resuming and passengers venturing out to catch buses and trains.

BEIJING, March 24: The Health Commission for China’s Hubei province said on Tuesday it will remove all travel restrictions in and out of the province on March 25, with the exception of the city of Wuhan, the provincial capital and the epicentre of the country’s coronavirus outbreak.

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: All the 175 Nepalis evacuated from China’s Hubei province and quarantined at Kharipati in Bhaktapur since Sunday morning have tested negative for the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Wednesday citing initial test results.

BEIJING, Feb 2: Abhishek Dahal, a Nepali student in Tianjin, a city near to China’s capital Beijing, had no plan to return home to Nepal. But fearing that he might be trapped in China for an indefinite period due to suspension of flights by international airliners following the rising death toll from coronavirus, Dahal decided to return home early.

Govt set to evacuate Nepalis from Hubei

BEIJING, Feb 2: Following the steps taken by many other countries, Nepal has initiated the process to evacuate stranded Nepalis from China’s Hubei Province -- the epicenter of the deadly coronavirus, which has already killed 259 people and infected 11,848 individuals across China.

BEIJING/SHANGHAI, Jan 22: The death toll from a new flu-like coronavirus in China rose to nine on Wednesday with 440 confirmed cases, Chinese health officials said as authorities stepped up efforts to control the outbreak by discouraging public gatherings in Hubei province.
