KATHMANDU, Sept 28:  The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has requested the government to create an environment where essential health services are not stopped.

The focus of this year’s World Environment Day was solutions to plastic pollution which was observed under the theme #BeatPlasticPollution. Similarly, in 2022, at the UN Environment Assembly, a resolution was endorsed to end plastic pollution.

KATHMANDU, May 29: For the fiscal year 2023/24, the government has allocated Rs 15.56 billion for the forest and environment sector.

It is reasonable to consider a vision that involves the construction of an international airport in Nijgadh with minimal impact on the environment and prompt compensation measures for any potential damage.

The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation to halt the construction work on the proposed Nijgadh airport in Bara district.
