BARA, Dec 13: A local resident sustained severe injuries in a clash between protesting employees and the police in Bara's Simraungadh Municipality. Bara Superintendent of Police, Suresh Kafle, reported that the injured individual was transported to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for treatment. NEA makes major organizational reshuffle

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has carried out a mass transfer of 104 employees. This decision made on Sunday encompasses a diverse range of positions, including directors, managers, deputy managers, assistant managers, and engineers. A majority of those transferred hold key positions within the organization.

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: The Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that no organization can terminate an employee without proper cause and doing so would be against the law. The joint bench comprising Justices Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Hari Prasad Phuyal has clarified that the Labor Act applies to employees of banks and financial institutions as well. The bench also explained that the punishment should be based on the misconduct of the worker. According to the judgment of the bench, the case of employees working in banks and financial institutions can be heard by the labor court.
