It is necessary to connect our education system with the labor market needs, which could support the employability of the educated and trained people,  reduce skills imbalances and improve the resilience of the workforce to future changes in labor market demand. This  is also known as responsiveness of the education system.

Academic institutions' success and failure are measured on the basis of how many of their students have been getting jobs in the market. Such practices lead to the danger of transforming the whole education system as a component of industries and markets.

Though I have held many positions in the past decade, I have always considered myself an educator at the core.
