KATHMANDU, June 12: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has defended the controversial Parliamentary Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP), previously known as the Constituency Development Program, claiming that the amount will not find its way into the pockets of lawmakers.

The newly appointed Finance Minister, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, is currently occupied with the process of formulating the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023/24. He has assembled a team of experts with diverse expertise in the domestic and internal aspects of the economy and public finance to assist him in this endeavor.

KATHMANDU, April 17: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that there could be competition between the ruling alliances in the local level elections. Spokesperson Mahat said that the ruling coalition parties think that they will win the election on their own, which will be a friendly competition.
