KATHMANDU, May 21: As many as 12 people were injured after a passenger bus met with an accident in Doti district earlier today. According to Chief of Area Police Office, Dipayal, Rupa Singh, efforts are being made to transport five of the critically injured to another district for treatment.
DOTI, Jan 28: An investigation has been initiated against the principal of Seti Technical Institute, Birendra Babu Yadav, for seeking money from a poultry supplier that the Institute bought. The issue became public after an audio clip of the conversation was leaked.

Nine journalists arrested by police were protesting against the sacking of three journalists from the state-owned Radio Nepal in Doti.

DHANGADHI, Sept 13: As high as 24 persons were injured in a bus accident at Rubaskanda in Doti district early morning today. The bus (Na 5 Kha 9114) coming to Mahendranagar from Darchula district fell some 100 meters off the road along the Bhimdutta Highway, the Regional Traffic Police Office, Kailali said.

However, the people in the villages and towns of Doti are least excited. In fact, they question the credibility of the news about elections saying no one has come to their community asking for vote.

DOTI, August 5: Nine people, including seven from two families, died when a jeep (registration number S 1 J 491) headed for Chautara from Dipayal met with an accident at Kataigaun of Botgan Rural Municipality in Doti district Friday night. Seven others were injured in the accident. Two of them are critical.
DOTI, Dec 24: A recent study has found that 59 percent of women in the district are living with one or other kind of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). In its annual report for 2016, Doti branch of the Nepal Family Planning Association (NFPA) stated that the number of women to live with STDs have been increasing every year. Such alarming health condition of women in the rural district is attributed to the pervasive trend of labor migration to India among men. Husbands of the women are major transmitter of such diseases, the study suggests.
DOTI, Nov 27: Two people were killed while 14 others sustained injuries when a jeep carrying members of a wedding party met with an accident at Jhansi, Latamandau VDC in the district last night. Among the injured, two are said to be in critical condition.
