KATHMANDU, March 21: The District Government Attorney Office (DGAO), Kathmandu, is going to record the statement of Krishna Bahadur Mahara, vice-chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center), who has been arrested in connection with a gold smuggling case, today as well.

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: In the case of Lalita Niwas land-grab scam, a case will also be prosecuted against Krishna Bahadur Raut, secretary at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The District Government Attorney Office (DGAO) has decided to include Raut as a defendant as well, despite CIB had earlier stated not to make Raut as a defendant.

KATHMANDU, May 23: The judicial custody of 16 people arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees scam will be extended again today. They are being taken to court today.

KATHMANDU, May 21: The police have prepared a report after investigating high-profile individuals in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam. The police report includes statements of the victims as well as middlemen arrested by the police and some bounced cheques and SMS as evidence. The police report also made a startling revelation that a report prepared by a task force led by Bal Krishna Panthi was fake.
