KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Archaeologists and heritage conservationists are excited about the recent discovery of an ancient statue in Dhulikhel. The statue was found about 300 meters below the surface on the Araniko Highway, in Dhulikhel Municipality-3 of Kavre, by the locals a few days ago. This has animated the social media as well.
BANEPA, Oct 14: The construction of Kavre Valley Drinking Water Supply Project, which was expected to be completed within two years from the date of agreement with the Chinese company, is yet to be completed even after more than six years.
It started with a little chit-chat in a tea shop. We, the squad of five, decided to go hiking all of a sudden just thinking of making lasting memories, forgetting hectic life for a day, and, most importantly, hanging out with a friend who just arrived home from Japan.
At the age of ten, I lost my mother because she was sick and didn’t get a chance to be treated with trained professionals. Dhulikhel was then a small backward town, from where people were starting to migrate in search of opportunities at other places. As I grew older, somewhere deep inside me was the feeling that no one else should bear what I had gone through. This fueled my passion to contribute in the field of health care in Nepal.
I had a chance to go on two-day tour to Dhulikhel recently, which was regarded as an ideal way to learn the hospitality industry’s nature and features, while exploring spectacular natural beauty and mountainous scenery at the same time.
BANEPA, May 11: Local level election in Ward-12 of Dhulikhel Municipality has been adjourned following the death of one candidate from Rastriya Prajatanta Party who had fielded his candidacy for the post of Ward member.
