DHANKUTA, Dec 3: An attempt has been made to kill Devendra Guragain, the ward chairman of Pakhribas Municipality 6 of Dhankuta, by locking him inside his house and setting it on fire. On Sunday night, the house was set on fire while he was sleeping and was locked up from outside.

DHARAN, Oct 20: Six people have been killed and six others injured when a landslide buried their house at Gadhire, Chaubise Rural Municipality-1 in Dhankuta on Tuesday night.

DHANKUTA, March 26: Fires in 13 different community forests in Dhankuta have caused damage of around Rs 20 million in the district, the Dhankuta chapter of Federation of Community Forestry Users’ Nepal (FECOFUN) said.

DHANKUTA, March 13: Two employees of Department of Roads (DoR), Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, died when a truck en route to Dhankuta from Dharan carrying excavator parts met with an accident today at Ghante of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-9 along the Koshi Highway. Four people have been injured in the accident.
