Indigenous nationalities to support VNY

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) and associations affiliated have decided to participate in the inauguration of Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 at Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday showcasing their respective ethnic identity.

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: President Bidya Bhandari inaugurated the 13th edition of South Asian Games (SAG) at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Sunday. The 28 sports disciplines and record number of more than 2000 athletes participating in the event have made this edition the largest ever.

Dasharath Stadium is where Nepal has held vital regional sports events in the past—such as the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup and 2013 SAFF Championship. And it is here Nepal will have to host inaugural and closing ceremonies of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) in December. But as the date of this mega sporting event is nearing (we are only three months away) doubts remain as to whether the stadium will be ready for it within these three months.

KATHMANDU, Sept 4:  National Sports Council (NSC) officials are confident  Dasharath Stadium will be ready for the inaugural and closing ceremonies of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) in December of this year.
