POKHARA, Jan 13: It has been found that crusher plants are operating without registration in Kaski. The illegally-operated crusher plants also do not meet the standards, and are not paying taxes. During a monitoring of river and mineral resources in the district by Kaski District Monitoring Committee, it was also found that the crusher plants were registered under the name of fertilizer factories.

TANAHU, Nov 23: The District-Level Monitoring Committee, Tanahun, has ordered the closure of six illegally-run crusher plants in the district.

LAHAN, Jan 14: The Province 2 government has decided to shut down crusher plants which are being operated illegally in the province.

SIRAHA, June 15: Sankatmochan crusher plant at Charnath Municipality – 8 of Dhanusha is situated around half a kilometer west of Rashtriya Primary School. Toddlers to grown-up kids that study at this school are always affected by the sound and dust pollution of this plant.

PARBAT, April 13: Crusher plants are exploiting several rivers in Parbat district under the pretext of providing construction material for the under-construction Mid-Hill Highway. It has surfaced that the crusher plants are not collecting construction materials like stones and sand not just for the highway but for elsewhere also. Many houses recently built or presently under construction in the district are being supplied construction materials by those crusher plants.
