KIRTIPUR, March 26: The Chobhar Dry Port in Kathmandu has commenced its services after two years of completion.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The responsibility of operating the Chobhar Dry Port in Kathmandu has been entrusted to a private company, Trans Nepal Freight Services. The Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board, which is managing the port, has given the permission to operate the port to Trans Nepal Freight Services through an open competition.

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: TransNepal Freight Services has been awarded the responsibility of operating the Chobhar Dry Port, constructed at a cost of  Rs 1.5 billion. This significant development comes as the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee invited tenders for the operation of the port, which was financed through a World Bank loan.

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Chobhar Dry Port has recently witnessed the arrival of electric vehicles (EVs) for customs clearance, marking a notable shift towards eco-friendly transportation solutions. These electric vehicles have been entering the port for customs clearance since June 29, signifying a transition towards cleaner and sustainable modes of transportation.

KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has permitted banks and financial institutions to open letters of credit (LC) accounts for the imported goods that are to be transported to the newly-built Chobhar Dry Port in Kathmandu.
