KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The responsibility of operating the Chobhar Dry Port in Kathmandu has been entrusted to a private company, Trans Nepal Freight Services. The Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board, which is managing the port, has given the permission to operate the port to Trans Nepal Freight Services through an open competition.

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: TransNepal Freight Services has been awarded the responsibility of operating the Chobhar Dry Port, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion. This significant development comes as the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee invited tenders for the operation of the port, which was financed through a World Bank loan.
