KATHMANDU, March 29: After Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal asked for the name of the minister for cabinet expansion, CPN (United Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal called an emergency Secretariat meeting of the party.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Bagmati Province Chief Minister Asta Laxmi Shakya has expanded the Cabinet today, inducting six ministers and four ministers of state into her Cabinet. In the expanded Cabinet, Rachana Khadka, Bijay Subedi, Shanti Prasad Poudel, Pradip Kumar Katuwal have been appointed as ministers for Economic Affairs and Planning; Social Development; and Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment and Health, respectively.

Sources said the meeting is focused on finalizing the allocation of ministries to coalition partners and giving full shape to the cabinet that has only six members even a month after the formation of a new government.
