KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal had become a state party to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in 2048 BS. But, lawmakers expressed concerns over the non-implementation of the convention.

KATHMANDU, March 14: The Pre-sessional working group on the 71st Session of Convention on Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) is being called from March 12 to 16 in Geneva, Switzerland.

KATHMANDU,  June 22: Nepal's candidate Bandana Rana has been elected as an expert member at United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). With her election, she has become the first Nepali to serve in the CEDAW.
