Unbeatable Rhinos clinch PPL title

POKHARA, Dec 29: Unbeatable Chitwan Rhinos, the runner-up of the last inaugural season, have been crowned as the champion of the second edition of the Namaste Pokhara Premier League (PPL) defeating Biratnagar Titans by 32 runs to lift the trophy in Pokhara on Saturday.

Both Titans and Blasters will face-off again in the Eliminator to be held on Thursday. Blasters had secured the second position in the league after winning three in first four matches. The winner of the Eliminator match will face Chitwan Rhinos for the final trophy on Saturday.

POKHARA, Dec 25: Kathmandu Golden Warriors will sweat on the result in the final group match between Butwal Blasters and Biratnagar Titans, on Wednesday, after suffering 60-run defeat against Chitwan Rhinos during its final Namaste Pokhara Premier League (PPL) group match played at Pokhara Stadium’s cricket ground in Pokhara on Tuesday.

In 20 overs, Biratnagar Titans scored 140 runs losing seven wickets. Butwal Blasters could only score 128 runs in 20 overs losing eight wickets.
