KATHMANDU, Sept 5: The 132 kV double circuit transmission line from Yogikuti (Butwal) to Mainahiya, built for reliable and quality power supply, increase transmission capacity and control technical leakage in the Bhairahawa area of Rupandehi, has been inaugurated.
KATHMANDU, May 12: Jazeera Airways is set to operate regular flights from June 12 at Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa. The airways will also launch the inaugural flight on May 16, the day set by the government for the inauguration.

BUTWAL, March 18: A total of 23 smart toilets are being constructed along a six-lane road in Shankarnagar, Rupandehi. Shankarnagar Drinking Water and Consumers Cleanliness Institution is building an ultra-modern smart toilet system for the first time in Nepal. The toilets are being built on the space available between the main lane and the service lanes that were initially allocated for building a flower bed. However, considering the pedestrians' needs, the toilets are being built on both sides of the road next to the service lanes.

In 2016, during the second inauguration of the SEZ, former executive director Chandrika Prasad Bhatta had committed to complete the tender procedure within six months and construct the 33 KV sub-station in a year and half.

BUTWAL, April 25: A large amount of fake excise duty stickers entered Nepal through Bhairahawa customs point of Rupandehi a month ago clearing several checkpoints.
Police nabbed the vehicle carrying the fake stickers only after it reached Dhakdahi. Fake excise duty stickers worth around Rs 400,000 was seized from the vehicle. The stickers had the stamp of Inland Revenue Department.
BUTWAL, March 18: Although the land acquisition process for the Integrated Check Post at Bhairawaha was completed seven years ago, its construction work has not yet begun. With the aim to ease cross border trade between the two nations, Nepal and India had agreed to set the ICP at Bhairahawa in 2064 B.S.
