KATHMANDU, Aug 28: A pillion rider was killed after a truck hit a motorcycle in Ekantakuna, Lalitpur on Sunday.
According to police, Pasang Sherpa, 21, of Kapan died after the truck, Na 4 Kha 4327, hit the motorcycle, Ba 40 Pa 6505, at around 3:15 pm this afternoon.
Sherpa, who was seriously injured in the mishap, breathed his last at Ganeshman Singh Memorial Hospital. Motorcyclist Raju Tamang of Nayabasti, Bouddha is receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Metropolitan Police Circle, Jawalakhel has arrested the driver and impounded the truck.
