Young man drowns in Bhoot Khola during New Year celebrations

BUTWAL, April 14: A young man who had gone for a visit in Tinau-3, Jhumsa, Palpa, to celebrate the New Year, drowned in Bhoot Khola.


Shivam Jaiswal, about 30 years old, from Siddharthnagar-1 Belhia, who had gone for a visit with his friends from Bhairahawa, slipped on a stone and fell into the pond and drowned.

Local Prem Pandey said that he was rescued and brought to the Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal and declared dead by the hospital.


Some time ago, another young man who had gone for a visit to that place also drowned.


Birendra Thapa, information officer for the District Police Office, Palpa, stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
