KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Yeti Airlines donated a total of Rs 929,868 to four different social organizations on Wednesday as part of its campaign of corporate social responsibility. The amount was collected from a levy of Rs 4 on each air ticket, states a press release issued at a checks handover function.

The private sector airline handed over checks for Rs 232,467 each to the Organization for Community, Child and Environment Development (OCCED), Tewa, Sewa Kendra Leprosy Relief and Nepal Glaucoma Eye Clinic (Tilganga Eye Centre) at the function.
Yeti Airlines donated Rs 265,220 each to the same organizations last May also. The airline has also been providing a special discount to the disabled, senior citizens and UN-affiliated organizations, among others.
It has been operating service in different remote destination including Simikot, Manang, Rukum, Dolpo, Bajura, Rara, Lukla, Phaplu and Rumjhatar.
