The Gopal Sewa Samiti, Central Office has, while submitting the memorandum to the prime minister demanded that the Yadav community be included in the indigenous list as per the ILO definition.
The memorandum draws the attention towards the neglect of Gopalbanshis even if the Kirants became indigenous community because of the weaknesses of the national bodies like Janajati Utthan Pratisthan Task Force´s Report-2053 BS and Indigenous Nationalities Uplift National Academy Act- 2058 BS and the discriminatory policies of the rulers.
Central Chairman of the Committee Rajaram Aragariya mentioned in the memo that Kirant ruled after the Yadav ruled the country for up to 682 years and added that it is an injustice to negate this evidence.
