Xi Jinping's Nepal visit: here’s tentative itinerary

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Chinese President Xi Jinping is paying a state visit to Nepal on Saturday and Sunday. Here is a tentative itinerary of Xi's sojourn.

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Chinese President Xi Jinping is paying a state visit to Nepal today and tomorrow. Here is a tentative itinerary of Xi's sojourn. 


Xi is visiting Nepal at the friendly invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bidya Devi Bhandari. 


During the visit, President Xi is holding a meeting with Bhandari today evening. He is holding delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli tomorrow morning, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. President Bhandari will host a banquet in honor of President Xi and the high-powered Chinese delegation today evening, according to the ministry.

Following the talks between Oli and Xi, both the leaders will witness the signing of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, the ministry stated.


Senior leaders of Nepal will call on President Xi during his sojourn in Kathmandu. 


Chinese President Xi is directly flying to Kathmandu at 1:30 PM today from Chennai after concluding his two-day India visit. 


Xi is attending the second informal summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
