Wyndham Hotels and Resorts makes grand entry into Nepal with Itahari's Grand Central Hotel

KATHMANDU, June 24: Nepal's hospitality industry is set to witness a significant development as the renowned American hotel chain, Wyndham, makes its debut in the country.

Itahari's esteemed Grand Central Hotel has successfully secured the franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, marking the introduction of a Wyndham Hotel by Ramada in Itahari, Nepal.

Grand Central on Friday entered into a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in New Delhi to open a Wyndham Hotel by Ramada in Itahari, Nepal. Deshwandhu Basnet (Ajit), the Chairman of the Tourism and Air Transport Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), owns the hotel in Itahari.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts boasts an impressive portfolio of 24 brands, comprising over 8,900 hotels spanning 95 countries. Ramada, one of the esteemed midscale brands under the Wyndham umbrella, operates more than 850 hotels across 60 countries.

The eagerly anticipated Wyndham Hotel in Itahari is projected to open its doors to guests in 2024. Located in close proximity to numerous business centers and commercial establishments in Nepal, the hotel will feature 80 well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and lounge, a health club, a spa, and an outdoor swimming pool.

 Basnet expressed his pride in bringing a world-class brand to Itahari, marking a significant milestone in the region's hospitality landscape.
