GAUSHALA, Jan 9: A pillion rider died in a road accident at Ekdara rural municipality-4 in Mahottari district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Prakaniya Devi, 38, wife of Punya Dev Raya of Ekdara rural municipality-4, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bal Krishna Pokharel.

The incident took place when the motorcycle (Ja 8 Pa 4860) overturned after hitting the bicycle coming from opposite direction. Prakaniya Devi was coming from Sursanda of Bihar, India, with her son-in-law.
She died on the way to Zonal Hospital, Janakpur. The son-in-law has been absconding after the incident.
The two boys who were riding the bicycle—Aviram Pandey, 12, and Amit Pandey, 10, were injured in the incident and they are undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Jaleshwor. RSS
